Sep. 15 - 20, 2024: Door County Peninsula, Wisconsin, RV Trip

Wednesday Sep. 18 - Cana Island Lighthouse, Stones Throw Winery & Vino Vino Bar

We continued to check out highly rated attractions in Door County and decided to do the Cana Island Lighthouse and another winery, the Door County Winery.

We went for a short hike to the "beach" which was basically walking across the street from the entrance and following a trail through the woods. However, the walk ended when a "bridge" that went across a depressed area was under construction repairs. So we went back.

After the lighthouse visit, we headed to the Stones Throw Winery in Baileys Harbor. The winery proper was not open for tours, but was basically an expensive tasting venue. We decided to forgo the winery and instead went next door to Vino Vino, another tasting bar that advertised tapas. Had a great Pinot Noir with excellent filling bruschetta.

After Vino Vino we decided to just head down the road and looked for some stores to visit in Sister Bay. Not too much as everything seemed to cater only to the boat owners. So we went back to the biergarten for another great beer experience.
